Become a Member or Volunteer

HoneyPossumSmall02New members and volunteers are always welcome. In addition to wildlife carers the group is always keen to hear from anyone who can provide their time and services to help in other ways. Below are just some of the ways in which members can help:

  • Animal Taxi
  • Attendance at Shows and Events
  • Book-keeping and Administration
  • Fund-raising
  • Promotion and Publicity
  • Veterinary services for sick and injured wildlife

You can become a member or volunteer by contacting any of the group committee members or just come along to one of our general meetings.

The Department of Parks and Wildlife run a Basic Wildlife Rehabilitation Course that caters for those interested in volunteering to help with wildlife rehabilitation. The course is also a prerequisite for those volunteers who would like to become registered  wildlife rehabilitators. Click here for dates and locations.
